With some Lokes, being hand-crafted, some lures may seem to run incorrectly directly out of the box. Don’t worry, this is sometimes very common due to the imperfections in the “Natural” wood being used.
Once you learn to correctly “tune” a Loke you will have opened up a completely new leaf with the customization of tuning a lure to your favorite, most productive specs. Some guys like to tune the lure to run away from the boat and other like to run them as straight as possible for a few examples.
After watching your lures either roll over (go belly-up) in the water or just not running the way you prefer, grab the lure and a pair of needle-nose pliers.
With both in hand, simply bend the leader eye on the lure a VERY slight amount to either side, depending on which way the lure is running too hard to.
After adjusting the leader eye with the pliers, drop the lure back into the water and check it action again.
Tuning Tips:
Always tune your lures while out on the water
When tuning your lure be sure to test it in the position you plan to run the lure in (Wash/Board Rod/Down Rod ect.)
REMEMBER: Slight bending of the leader eye is usually sufficient
